From the magazine that WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals) sent me:

Billions of animals around the world are affected by humans, and rely on humans to treat them with compassion. But sadly, there is little national and no international protection for animals.

WSPA is working with hundreds of other animal protection groups around the world, urging the United Nations to adopt a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare, similar to earlier initiatives on human rights and the environment.

Our goal is ambitious – we need over 10 million signatures! But with your help, we can achieve recognition and protection of animals around the world.

The time for a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare is now. Please join with this global animal welfare movement and show governments around the world that animals matter to you.

Sign the petition and learn more at

If you have any compassion for animals and would like to see conditions changed, I ask that you sign the petition and look at the WSPA website. I donate monthly to them because I feel that they are doing wonderful things around the world for animals. I have the most recent Animals International, the magazine that they put out to inform people what they have achieved and what they are currently working on, and if anyone would like to look at it, I would be more than happy to give it to you.

The petition asks only for your first and last name and what country you live in. Giving your email address is optional but they will send you more information if you want. It honestly takes less than 30 seconds to fill out. Please. Add your name.
