Visa’s new tool

I went to check what my Visa bill will be for last month (a little scary because my beautiful chair is on it) and I discovered that CIBC has created a new tracking tool. I’m delighted! I usually take my bill and highlight everything in different colours for different categories and then add up the categories to see where I spent all my money. (I know, I’m anal. But I’ve never been in debt, except for student loans, so I must be doing something right, hmm?) Now, I can do it online and I can print it if I want to. I think it’s absolutely wonderful and I spent the last twenty minutes or so organizing last month and this month.

The end result: I spend too much money in the “extras” category. I think that I don’t spend money on frivolous things but apparently I do. Like I get lazy and drive to school and pay $2.25 an hour for parking instead of taking the bus, which is free.

Obviously it is time to make up another budget. Look out spreadsheet, here I come! *lol*

Wow, you’re about as anal as I am. I just bought a new copy of Quicken. If you want, I’ll lend it to you. It’s got these great reports and pie-charts so you can see exactly what percentages you spend on what each month!!!
