Meh.

Today also managed to suck ass, although not nearly so much as the past two days.

I arranged for my dad to drive me to school today so that I wouldn’t have to take the bus. I had to hand in a paper so I *had* to show up.

But then! My prof gave us an extension on the paper until next Friday! So I didn’t have to show up.

I dutifully trucked along to my second class, thinking that at least I was getting my money’s worth for lectures.

But then! Only about 10 people showed up for class! And my prof was looking out the window at the snow coming down and wringing his hands and after a few minutes of deliberation, he canceled the class. My only consolation is that I asked if perhaps he could remember who had bothered to come today (as the university was fully open and functional and the roads weren’t even that bad at this point) and he took a list of names so that if one of us is teetering on the edge of a letter grade, he’ll give us a boost. You never know unless you ask, right?

So fine, class is canceled and everyone gets to go home. Except that my dad wasn’t coming back to pick me up until after his meetings which had coincided nicely with the end of my classes. I had three hours to kill so I went to Safeway and got a few supplies, then sat at Starbucks and read the paper and did the Sudoku puzzle until he arrived.

Now I am warmly at home, thinking about getting rid of the pile of dishes that accumulated over the past few days (even though I wasn’t eating – I know, weird, right?) and having some soup and crackers.

Weather forecast says there could be more snow (up to 5cm) tonight and also freezing rain (5-10mm). Fabulous. Then by tomorrow afternoon the temperature should rise to about 5 degrees and it looks like it stays warmer after that.

I still might not go to school tomorrow though, depending on how it looks. I think my tummy needs one more day of relaxation and no stress because I found when I was stressing out about anything today it started to clench up. One more day of lying on the couch in my pajamas and hopefully that will be enough.

Could be worse. Earlier today, they were predicting 35-45 cm before tomorrow afternoon. yagh.

BCIT is closed again. I really hope classes aren’t cancelled on Friday, when they’re expecting even more freezing rain…
