I’m going to reformat my laptop next week. Yay! I’ve done it once at least, maybe twice, since I bought it almost 2 years ago, and I can’t believe how much of a difference it makes.

“Santa” bought the family a 160 GB external hard drive for Christmas, so that we can all back up our stuff and reformat our computers. I think I want one of my own, but that’s a purchase that can wait awhile now that I can use the family one.

I think that I’ve backed up everything, but I feel like it was too easy. I’ve got everything from My Documents (including music and photos) and my Firefox Bookmarks as well. I’ve copied everything from iTunes. For some reason I remember it taking much longer to back everything up before, so I feel like I’ve missed something.

I’m not going to do the reformatting until I can get to my parents’ house. I like to have the instructions in front of me (on their computer) while I go through the steps on my laptop. Otherwise I panic and think that I have forgotten something crucial.

If you’ve never reformatted your computer, I highly recommend doing so. It makes it run like new again.
