Setting the bar to ‘mediocrity’

So, you know how the Canucks used to be owned or affiliated or whatever with Orca Bay? It was the Orca Bay Vancouver Canucks?

The Tampa Bay Lightning have been sold to a company called … OK Hockey.

What sort of hockey do you play? Meh, it’s OK.

Wow, you guys are great!* No, we’re OK.

Seriously. Way to set the bar to mediocrity, guys.

* I do realize that that sentence, in reference to a team in Florida, is unlikely to ever be said.

You do realize that the year before the strike the Stanley Cup was won by the Tampa Bay (Florida) Lightning. “Wow, you guys are great!” has been said about a team in Florida.

The coolest thing about hockey in Florida is that my dad has been to an NHL hockey game a WEEK for a MONTH and it has cost him LESS than $200 USD.

The NHL in Florida, serving retired Canadians since 1992.

I guess I dropped the ball on that one. Thanks to Lori for coming over and pointing out my error.
