Phone book update

I received this response from Telus Customer Service:

Thank you for your e-mail.

That option has always been available to our customers however it isn’t very well known.

You shouldn’t receive another book from this point on unless you request one.

I sent the following back:

Then may I suggest that you make that clear on your website, with perhaps a link to a form that customers could fill out to exclude themselves from this service? With companies fighting to become more green, I would think that putting this information out for your customers would only benefit Telus.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate the discontinuation of my phone book.

If you have a home phone service from Telus and you wish to discontinue your service, this is the link I used.

Lori, I know you had a different experience, which I find strange. Maybe try again?

At least you two got replies. I still haven’t heard back from telus, or yellowpages or canpages for that matter.

That’s so strange because as soon as I sent off the form to Telus (from the link) I received an auto-reply from them to my email. And as soon as I sent the reply above I also received an auto-reply. They have tracking numbers so that it can be tracked.

I would email Telus again and see if you get a response.

I haven’t tried the other two yet.

I’m not a Telus customer, so I wonder if I don’t “count” in their world. I’m a Shaw Digital Phone customer, and the only thing they asked me about was 411, but I am sure that I am in a directory somewhere. So, we’ll see how far I get with Canpages and Yellow Pages.
