Just Do It
November 3, 2008Erin No Comments »I have been swept up in the American presidential race these past few months. I am going to an election party tomorrow with a few friends (one of whom is an ex-pat American who absentee-voted) to hopefully cheer and celebrate when Obama wins.
Being the neighbour, larger in size but only a fraction in population, to the hulk of the United States, it affects us who the president is. Our lives change based on who is in power in DC, but we have no voice in deciding who wields that power.
So I ask my neighbours – please. The world is watching tomorrow. Don’t leave us shaking our heads in disbelief as we did in 2004.
Vote for change. Vote for hope.
But above all – just vote.
