On Feb 26, I had surgery to repair my right ACL.

On March 5, I closed on my very own two bedroom, 1.5 bathroom, two story townhouse in north Burnaby.

On March 7, I moved in.

If you ever have the option, do not have surgery that will preclude you from walking without the aid of crutches and then move one week later. My tip to you, free of charge.

I have spent the past two days surrounded by boxes that I cannot do anything with. I have no cable and I’m shamelessly stealing wireless internet from an unsecured network. I am so sick of lying around and doing nothing that I want to scream.

However, to look on the bright side of life, I feel like I’m healing quite quickly. I have an appointment with my specialist on Thursday, at which point I am confident he will pronounce me fit to start physio, and hopefully at least get to walking with a cane quite quickly.

And obviously, the biggest and best thing here, is that I am a homeowner. When I am more mobile and have the place set up, I will take and post some pictures. But for now, Andy and I will just be cuddling on my bed, getting used to our new surroundings.
